When A Woman Is Alone…

When A Woman Is Alone…
Today my husband left for his hitch. I couldn’t hold back my tears as he kissed me goodbye this morning. What a life… his job is an endless cycle of working 2 weeks, home for 2 weeks. Hardworking man that he is, his time at home is also invariably taxed by chores such as vehicle maintenance and side jobs. I miss my man!

And yet we are so blessed. Absence has caused my heart to grow fonder. The current challenges paint our future in vivid hues which will always honor the hard work which brought it about. Hard work and grace…

The great things in life are not merely earned through hard work. A hamster may run circles for days on end without getting anywhere.

Neither are great things are purchased by grace alone. A gift offered is not enjoyed unless a hand reaches out to grasp it.

These are the things I consider when I am alone for 2 weeks, missing what is mine. The Word promises, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5b keeps me strong when my beloved husband is away.

And so we continue on, graced with grace and working hard.

"To find adventure where it exists, and create it where it does not." This applies to the love relationship with Jesus, stewardship of finances, family, and decluttering the home! Rejoice in the day-to-day. My purpose is to empower women in their daily joys and challenges. My message to women everywhere is, "Smell the flowers and drink your coffee." Cheers, Western Woman
